# CrossingGuard

> Live predictions of whether Dublin railway level crossings are OPEN, CLOSING SOON or CLOSED, based on Irish Rail's realtime train data (including trains that pass through without stopping). Predictions are estimates; drivers must always obey the signals at the crossing.

Every page is server-rendered, so the status is readable without JavaScript. For the simplest answer, fetch a plain-text URL below; the first line is a complete spoken-style summary such as "Coolmine level crossing is OPEN. The gates are next expected to close at 13:38 (in 18 minutes)...". All times are Irish local time.

## Notes

- If `status` is `unknown`, Irish Rail's feed couldn't be reached; tell the user to check the crossing themselves rather than assuming it's open.
- Data refreshes about every 15 seconds.
